President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he has asked the loved ones of a Guard member killed last week to attend the executive mansion.
He mentioned that he spoke to her parents and they were âdeeply grievingâ.

Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a violent incident on last Wednesday in Washington DC.
Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, remains hospitalized in serious condition.
Memorials across West Virginia have occurred in their honor.

The president said heâs proposed a visit to the White House for the loved ones of both individuals of the state Guard.
âI stated: âWhen youâre prepared, because thatâs a difficult moment, arrive at the White House. Weâre going to pay tribute to her,â the president informed journalists. âAnd in the same way with Andrew, recover or not.â

Attendees gathered over the weekend at the high school in West Virginia to honor Beckstrom.
Both she and Wolfe had been fulfilling duties with the West Virginia National Guard as part of Trumpâs government program to aid public safety in Washington DC.

She behaved with quiet strength, a bright grin and a upbeat demeanor that inspired people around her,â Hankins, the principal of Beckstromâs previous school, stated to the media. âShe was sweet, considerate and always ready to support those in need.â
Memorial plans for Beckstrom are yet to be finalized.
Judicial Actions and Policy Revisions
Law enforcement have indicted a twenty-nine-year-old suspect with one count of homicide and charges of assault with intent to kill while carrying a weapon.
The tragedy led the government to halt asylum processing and temporarily stop providing entry permits to owners of passports from Afghanistan.
Condition of Andrew Wolfe
Andrew Wolfe, a resident of Martinsburg, started his military career in February 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman high school, per the AP.
He remains under medical supervision and is âfighting for his lifeâ, the stateâs governor Morrisey mentioned on television.
The stateâs top lawyer the attorney general informed the program that she planned to visit Wolfeâs family.
Memory of Beckstrom
Sarah, from her hometown, completed her education from her high school in June 2023 and enlisted soon after, serving as a MP with excellence, according to the military.
âShe had a lot of compassion and she certainly had bravery,â the governor informed the gathering at the vigil. âThough her life ended too soon, she has created a legacy thatâs going to endure.â
